Ulcers suck

Got myself a mouth ulcer on the weekend. Right on my cheek between where I bite, so eating has been soup and soft stuff, and talking's been like having a mouth full of cotton wool. Monday was the worst, and it swelled in my mouth, getting bitten every time I closed my jaw.

On the good side, I have been able to sooth it and keep it clean with the help of a little antibacterial disinfectant. Occasionally I choose the disinfectant labelled vodka, other times I choose the one labelled whisky. A little uncomfortable at first, but in the end it makes it feel a heck of a lot better.

Eventually moved on to Neurofen - and being no wimpy tiny ulcer I went with the 400mg babies. A suggestion for anyone in desperate need of ulcer relief - chew the tablet, and be prepared for the most foul, bitter taste ever, but oh boy does it work almost instantly!

All starting to get better now though - just a little aching in the mouth and the occasional sting, but I predit tomorrow it will be all but gone. Fingers crossed!
